This information came to me via Mom who was in touch with Kim on Wednesday. She is looking into the next leg of her adventure and was requesting assistance with accomodations. She had been out and about and drove to Riez to the market and visited the quaint shops in the area. One shopkeeper told her she speaks French very well and, with her purchases, the woman threw in a lavendar sachet "pour la canadienne"!
The weather was cold again and raining and not conducive to a lot of hiking, but she was planning activities in Cannes, Monte Carlo, and Nice from Sunday on so Dad googled some places for her to stay WITH INTERNET!!! We will call tomorrow afternoon to update her and then book a room, on her behalf, for Sunday and Monday nights. Train travel is not good in some places and if she travelled by train she would be returning to her chateau along winding roads AFTER 9:30 pm.
She has downloaded several hundred photos onto her laptop and looks forward to being "connected" soon so she can share these pictures with everyone.
